There are a number of statistical goals UNC basketball wants to reach this season.

Hubert Davis , the Tar Heels’ fifth-year coach, pointed out a few of those areas on Monday, Dec. 8, during the season’s first radio show from Top of the Hill Restaurant and Brewery in Chapel Hill.

“At the beginning of the season, we had metrics that we wanted to meet,” Davis said to radio play-by-play announcer Jones Angell.

Ranked No. 15 in the latest USA TODAY Sports coaches poll and No. 14 in the AP Top 25, the Tar Heels (8-1) are off to their best nine-game start since the 2017-18 season. UNC is 3-1 against Power 5 teams, including top-25 victories against Kansas and Kentucky.
