According to Pakistan’s Aaj TV, the unusual incident occurred in the National Assembly on Monday when Speaker Ayaz Sadiq found 10 PKR 5,000 notes, totalling about Rs 16,500, in the House. Waving the notes in the air, he asked members to identify the owner.
“Whose money is this? Whoever it belongs to, please raise your hand,” the Speaker said as he held up the cash. To the surprise of those present, not just one or two but 12 lawmakers raised their hands.
