MADISON, Wis. — A house fire early Wednesday morning has left a family of seven and their dog displaced, according to the Madison Fire Department.
Fire crews were called near Bram Hill Apartments on the city's south side at 1:55 a.m. and arrived at the scene shortly after 2 a.m.
Ladder 6 began attacking the exterior of the house while Engine 4 focused on the interior.
It is believed that the fire started in the back of the house near the kitchen and was extinguished around 2:08 a.m.
The fire department's investigation team is currently working to determine the cause of the fire.
The American Red Cross will provide services for the family; no injuries were reported.
