A tiny Upstate New York city aglow with Christmas magic has been gifted a jolly new title.
Corning , a sparkling riverside gem in the Southern Tier , has been named one of the best Christmas towns in the U.S. by Time Out , an international travel website.
The Crystal City earned the No. 6 spot on the list of America’s 13 top Christmas communities, sharing space with other Hallmark Movie-worthy holiday communities like Solvang, California and Kennebunkport, Maine.
Corning, a city that straddles the winding Chemung River, is about 25 minutes west of Elmira and about 20 minutes north of the Pennsylvania border.
Only about 10,500 people call Corning home. But despite its size, the small city shines brightly — particularly at Christmastime .
