The Mumbai Board of MHADA had invited tenders for the redevelopment of the Abhyudaya Nagar MHADA colony in Kalachowki. Two companies have qualified in the financial tender under this process and the Mumbai Board sent the proposal for finalising the tender to the state government for approval a few days ago. According to this proposal, residents of Abhyudaya Nagar will get a house of 641 square feet.
The redevelopment of Abhyudaya Nagar, which has been stalled for the past several years, is finally being put on track through MHADA. It was decided to redevelop 48 buildings spread over 33 acres by appointing a Construction and Development Agency, i.e. a private developer.
