Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Inc. reported disappointing financial results Tuesday after market close for the recently ended first quarter of fiscal 2026.

The Lebanon-based restaurant chain — which plans cost-savings initiatives related to hoped-for future financial stability — saw total revenue decrease 5.7 percent to $797.2 million, compared to the figure of the prior year’s first quarter.
Both retail and restaurant sales were also down, with comparable store restaurant sales decreasing 4.7 percent over the mark of the prior year quarter, and comparable store retail sales decreasing 8.5 percent.
