The Packers announced themselves as Super Bowl contenders in late August with their trade for Micah Parsons. Now, nearly four months later, everything is more or less going according to plan.

Parsons is having a great year, and so are the Packers. At 9-3-1, they’re atop the NFC North and firmly in contention to be the top seed in the NFC playoff field. Outside of a couple of really inexplicable losses (boy it’d be nice to have the Browns and Panthers games back), there’s very little to complain about on a season-long level.

But there is still a lot of work to be done. Being in contention for the NFC’s top playoff seed in Week 15 is worth exactly nothing in the grand scheme. And at this point, there’s no actual guarantee the Packers will make the playoffs, either. There are many, many thi
