TUMAKURU: Upset over being accused of sexually harassing a student, a 56-year-old teacher ended his life at Kurankote in Koratagere taluk. The deceased Devaraju was a teacher at Chinnenahalli Government School.

The teacher was accused of misbehaving with a student, who informed her family about the incident. Devastated by the allegations, Devaraju hanged himself from a tree in Kurankote.

A case has been registered at Koratagere police station and further investigation is under way.
