A divided Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review on Monday approved a rule for the Division of Cannabis Control rule that bans advertisements of recreational marijuana dispensaries in Ohio on billboards, radio, television or the internet and in stadiums and arenas. Democrats and the Outdoor Advertising Association of Ohio say that these are burdensome regulations for business that violate the First Amendment and are prohibitions beyond the scope of the initiated statute Ohioans passed two years ago.
