ALBION, Ill. (WSIL) — The Albion Area Chamber of Commerce has canceled a Christmas event due to incoming cold weather this weekend.

The Heart of the Holidays Lighted Christmas Parade has been canceled on Saturday as temperatures are expected to plummet in the lower 20s and into the teens in the area.

The Christmas event was scheduled to start at the Edwards County Fairgrounds at 5:30 p.m. on December 13. The event was also geared towards honoring hometown heroes and veterans.

There has not been a rescheduled date posted at this time.
