LE FLORE COUNTY, Okla. — One of the two men accused of torturing and killing a Fort Smith woman in LeFlore County in 2021 has pleaded guilty, according to court documents.

Austin Johnson pleaded guilty to first-degree murder on Dec. 3, 2025, for Tara Strozier's death in July 2021. He will be sentenced on Jan. 22, 2026.

His co-defendant, Alex Davis , also pleaded guilty to charges related to Strozier's murder. In July 2025, Davis was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

The Fort Smith Police Department (FSPD) began searching for Strozier, a mother of three, after she was reported missing out of Cameron, Oklahoma, on July 17, 2021 . After the recovery of Strozier's abandoned vehicle in a private driveway, foul play was suspected, leading authorities to reques
