Police in Belleville, Ont., say they've laid dozens of charges against 15 people as part of a months-long investigation into fentanyl and cocaine trafficking.
The 94 criminal charges announced Wednesday come as the eastern Ontario city is approaching two years since it declared an overdose-related state of emergency.
As part of Project Humidity, investigators carried out four search warrants between June and September, the Belleville Police Service said in a media release.
Officers seized:
43.7 grams of fentanyl.
238.6 grams of cocaine.
21.4 grams of crystal meth.
14 oxycontin pills.
Ammunition and assorted weapons, including a handgun and two "prohibited" knives.
Police also seized nearly $5,000 in cash and recovered a stolen vehicle, according to the force's media release. They
