The It: Welcome to Derry opening credits have gone viral over and over throughout the season of the HBO hit, and you may be wondering more about the actual song that plays.

The creators of the show chose a fun contracts for the title sequence: what would be a chipper little song, set in the backdrop of a horror series.

The song is from Patience and Prudence , a sister duo who released the song back in 1956 on the album Your Careless Love .
