Storm Bram hit the UK on Tuesday (December 9), bringing heavy rain, strong winds and disruption to large parts of the country throughout the day, with 10 Met Office severe weather warnings in place.

A yellow warning for rain covered northern areas of Greater Manchester, including parts of Bolton , Bury and Rochdale boroughs, and elsewhere, two amber warnings for rain have been issued in parts of the South West and South Wales, plus an amber warning for wind in north-west Scotland.

Due to the heavy rain and strong winds, Manchester Airport was forced to cancel a number of flights due to the weather. Fourteen flights were cancelled to and from Manchester this morning, most are operated by Irish airline Aer Lingus. It's understood the cancellations are due to a staf
