ASHEVILLE - An Asheville man pleaded guilty Dec. 8 to third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor after the sheriff's office received a tip about child sexual abuse material from the Bent Creek area of Buncombe County.

Micah Lyons, 24, entered the guilty plea to the Class H felony in Buncombe County Superior Court and was sentenced to two years of supervised probation, according to court documents. Third-degree exploitation of a minor refers to a person knowingly possessing material that contains a visual representation of a minor engaged in sexual activity or has been manipulated to appear that a minor is engaged in such activity, under state law .
