A Lynn man accused of preying on women who lost their jobs or homes due to the COVID-19 pandemic pleaded guilty to sex trafficking charges in federal court on Tuesday, the Massachusetts U.S. Attorney’s Office announced.

Anthony Coleman, 36, pleaded guilty to two counts of benefitting financially from trafficking and one count of knowingly persuading and coercing a person to travel to engage in prostitution, the U.S. Attorney’s office said in a press release .

In March 2020, Coleman recruited a woman who had lost her job as a result of the pandemic to join the sex trade and work for him, the U.S. Attorney’s office said. The woman typically serviced 10 to 16 clients per day, but Coleman took all the profits.
