Evacuation orders have been issued in Orting in Pierce County, parts of Skagit County and Ebey Island east of Everett.

Floodwaters are rising, threatening low-lying riverside communities on the third day of a procession of powerful atmospheric rivers pummeling Western Washington. Dozens of people and animals have been rescued from homes under evacuation orders and cars on watery roadways.

Residents in Orting living in the area of Williams Boulevard Northwest, Mellinger Avenue Northwest and Stone Street Northwest have been ordered to evacuate immediately under a level 3 “GO NOW” order, Central Pierce Fire and Rescue said.
