Actor Hrithik Roshan praised the film Dhurandhar while sharing his reservations about its political undertones. Released in theatres on December 5, the Aditya Dhar directorial is set in the late 2000s and takes inspiration from real-life events to deliver a fictionalised account of India’s conflict against terror operations in Pakistan.

Ranveer Singh features as Hamza, an Indian spy who attempts to infiltrate Rehman Dakait’s gang. The storyline explores espionage, crime, and intelligence operations.

On his Instagram story, Hrithik wrote, "I love cinema, i love people who climb into a vortex and let the story take control, spin them shake them until what they want is purged out of them onto the screen. Dhurandhar is an example of that. Loved the storytelling. It's cinema (sic)."
