ALEXANDRIA — The Alexandria girls basketball team faced an early-season test from new Section 8-4A opponent Moorhead on Monday, Dec. 8.
Playing a physical basketball game, the Cardinals rode momentum from a strong opening half.
Alexandria pulled out a hard-fought 58-45 win over the Spuds to move to 4-0 on the season. Early foul trouble and stretches of sloppy execution tested the Cardinals on the floor, but a strong defensive foundation and timely contributions across the roster carried them through at the Alexandria Area High School gymnasium.
