WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - The snow’s coming down and people all across the North Country are watching it fall.

Bill O’Connor in Watertown says he’s not surprised and that he’s been shoveling snow for nearly 70 years.

“What I’ve learned in my life is that you’ve got to keep moving the snow; you don’t want to let it accumulate too much. The worst thing can happen to you is getting stuck in your own driveway. You’ll feel like a complete idiot,” he said.

While this sort of winter weather is to be expected this time of year, that doesn’t make it any less dangerous.

The village of Copenhagen is one of the many communities across the area that’s seeing quite a bit of snow.

The village’s department of public works encourages people to stay safe when they’re on the roads.
