Miami mayor-elect Eileen Higgins’ shocking win in Florida should set off warning bells for President Donald Trump , CNN data guru Harry Enten said Wednesday.

Higgins became the first Democrat in nearly thirty years to win the Miami mayoral race, delivering a blow to Trump’s Republican Party. Enten explained that Higgins outperformed former Vice President Kamala Harris , who won Miami by just one percentage point in the 2024 election.

“Kamala Harris won Miami, but just by a point. There was a huge shift towards Donald Trump. Joe Biden carried Miami by nearly 20 points, and Harris only won it by one. And all of a sudden, look at this. It’s a 19-point win for Higgins. That is an 18-point shift in just a year’s time,” Enten said .
