Former LSU Tigers head coach Ed Orgeron shared the wild stories of how he attempted to recruit quarterback Joe Burrow and running back Adrian Peterson to his college programs.

After starring at Palestine High School in Palestine, Texas, Adrian Peterson decided to take his football talents to Oklahoma. Orgeron, then a defensive line coach on Pete Carroll ’s staff, had worked tirelessly to recruit AP to the USC Trojans.

Just how hard did Orgeron work on his sales pitch to Peterson? So much so that Orgeron actually tried to help Peterson’s father get a prison transfer so that he could watch his son play.
