At 2:23 p.m. on Wednesday, the National Weather Service released a special weather statement until 7 p.m. for Eastern Clinton, Western Clinton and Eastern Essex.

"With temperatures in the upper 20s to low 30s, an additional coating to an inch of snow is expected through the remainder of the afternoon and evening for the northern Champlain Valley. There have been reports of slippery conditions in the Burlington area. Slippery travel conditions will be possible through the evening commute, especially on untreated surfaces," says the weather service.
