Jackie Rutter was shot dead in her home two years ago

A man accused of being the getaway driver in the murder of a 53-year-old nan said "I have got nothing to lie about" as he told the court: "I was there. I know what happened. I saw that man shoot that woman."

Mum-of-six and grandma-of-five Jackie Rutter died after being shot in the chest on the doorstep of her house on Meadowbrook Road in Moreton , Wirral , in October 30, 2022. Four men, Simon Allen, James Byrne , Barrie Glynn and David Harrison, are currently on trial at Liverpool Crown Court accused of her murder. A fifth defendant, Anna McGinn, is charged with assisting an offender.
