Oregon State football is targeting a new defensive coordinator under JaMarcus Shephard.
Former Miami defensive coordinator Lance Guidry is the Beavers’ target for their DC job, according to a source with knowledge of the forthcoming hire. Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports first reported the news.
Guidry, 54, spent two seasons at Miami before his firing at the end of the 2024 season. He was a defensive analyst for LSU during the 2025 season.
Prior to his time in Coral Gables, Guidry crossed over with Shephard when they both coached at Western Kentucky in 2011 and 2012. At the time, Shephard was a defensive analyst, and Guidry the defensive coordinator for the Hilltoppers. Guidry also served as interim head coach during the 2012 season.
