The St. Louis Blues have officially brought back forward Robby Fabbri, signing him to a one-year, two-way contract. The move comes shortly after winger Jordan Kyrou was placed on injured reserve with a lower-body injury. Kyrou was initially listed as day-to-day, but has now been downgraded to week-to-week.
Fabbri’s return to St. Louis marks a full-circle moment in a career that started with so much promise but has been constantly halted by injuries. Before rejoining the Blues, he spent the start of December with the AHL’s Charlotte Checkers after going unsigned in the summer.
He joined the Pittsburgh Penguins on a professional tryout during training camp, but the team released him, leaving him without an NHL or AHL contract until Florida’s affiliate signed him. The Blues then released
