Former Michigan head football coach Sherrone Moore was involved in an incident Wednesday that required police attention, the Saline chief of police confirmed to The Detroit News. Saline police chief Marlene Radzik told The News that nearby Pittsfield Township’s police department is handling the complaint. No further details were immediately available as of 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Messages have been left with Pittsfield Township police.

Moore was fired by Michigan on Wednesday after two seasons as head coach, after an investigation into an alleged inappropriate relationship with a staff member.
