TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa Bay landlords are looking for clearer guidance on how to respond if ICE agents arrive at an apartment community. While no raids have been reported locally, property managers say they are seeking clarity about their responsibilities — and their limits — under federal law.

The Bay Area Apartment Association (BAAA), which represents 900 property owners and oversees more than 300,000 units across 12 counties, recently hosted attorney-led training sessions to help housing providers understand what to do in the event immigration officers show up.
