JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Family and friends of a young Jacksonville mother shot to death outside a gym gathered Thursday night to remember her life.
24-year-old Cherrish Nunley was killed last month outside a fitness center on Sunbeam Road. Police say her ex-boyfriend, Randy Campbell III, the father of her son, shot and killed her and then fled the state.
“We miss her every day,” friends told First Coast News .
Inside Eternity Funeral Home, many filled the chapel to celebrate Nunley. They described her as a devoted mother, daughter and sister.
Justine Donaldson, Nunley's sister, said she was very loving and had a really big heart. Everything about Nunley stood out, from her laugh to her style.
"Even her nails right now are cow print," Donaldson said. "She loved cows and ducks.”
