NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The rumors are true. Maddie & Tae, the country girl duo that gave us “Die From A Broken Heart,” “Friends Don’t,” “Girl in A Country Song,” “Every Night Every Morning” and many more songs, are officially “going their separate ways.”
The duo confirmed the news on X, formerly known as Twitter, and linked to the People exclusive article.
“Thank y’all for all the love as we step into this new bittersweet chapter,” they said on X. “We feel overwhelmed with gratitude for what we’ve built the last 12 years. Thank you for making our dreams come true and we hope you stay close by to watch us chase some new dreams.
How Maddie & Tae was formed
According to the Country Music Hall of Fame, both girls grew up over 400 miles apart.
