DeSOTO PARISH, La. (KSLA) - A man from Coushatta is dead after getting into a wreck on I-49 in DeSoto Parish.

Louisiana State Police says on Dec. 3 around 3:40 a.m., troopers were sent out to a wreck involving an 18-wheeler and another car on I-49 near Asseff Road.

Travion Miller died in the crash.

Preliminary details from LSP show Miller was driving a 2024 Mack tractor trailer north on I-49 when, for reasons still under investigation, he drove off the road, hit an unoccupied parked car, veered up an embankment, and flipped.

Police say because of how serious the wreck was, they aren’t sure if Miller was wearing his seat belt or not.
