WELLSBURG — The Brooke boys basketball team fended off visiting Harrison Central on Tuesday night to start the season with a 59-53 victory inside the Brooke Wellness Center.

Crosby Morris led the Bruins with 18 points, while Grant Yost tallied 13 points and nine rebounds and Andrew Murdock netted 13 points and dished four assists. Ty Sperrigner finsihed with eight and Pete Fodor seven.

The Bruins will take on Wheeling Central in the Sam Andy Classic on Friday at WesBanco Arena.
