CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- UNI women's basketball hosted the South Dakota State Jackrabbits in its final home non-conference matchup of the season. After a dominant first quarter by the Jackrabbits, UNI edged out a lead heading into the final frame but was unable to outlast the Jackrabbits as SDSU claimed a 59-57 victory at the final buzzer.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The South Dakota State Jackrabbits started hot from deep and went 7-for-9 (77.8%) from range over the first 10 minutes of play. The Panthers didn't back down in the quarter and put up 18 of their own points and trailed by just three heading into the second quarter.
