Panchayat Election Polling | Hyderabad, Dec. 11: Panchayat election polling recorded steady participation across Telangana as voters lined up outside polling stations from early morning.

The State Election Commission reported that polling reached 18.37 percent by 9 am, covering the first two hours of voting.

The state has 3526266 voters, and 647879 of them had cast their votes by that time. The first phase covers multiple districts and aims to complete voting by 1 pm under the schedule announced earlier.

Mahbubabad district reported the highest turnout with 28.87 percent. The district recorded 8885 votes from a total electorate of 30781.

Surypet followed with 26.43 percent as 30165 voters participated from a voter base of 114130.
