The Reserve Bank of India ( RBI ) has announced the final redemption price for Sovereign Gold Bond (SGB) 2017-18 Series-XI, issue date December 11, 2017. The final redemption date of the above tranche shall be December 11, 2025, the RBI has said in a statement.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has also announced the premature redemption price for Sovereign Gold Bond 2019-20 Series I, issue date December 11, 2017.

SGBs come with a fixed tenure of eight years, but investors are given the flexibility to exit early. As per RBI guidelines, SGB premature redemption is allowed only after the completion of the fifth year from the date of the gold bond series issue.
