The nominees for BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2025 have been confirmed with among six huge names up to win the prestigious award.

The Northern Irishman has enjoyed a great year after finally winning the Masters and helping Team Europe to a Ryder Cup triumph. England lionesses and have also been nominated after playing a key role in their European championships triumph.

Recently-crowned F1 world champion , England Rugby World Cup winner and darts sensation are also in the running to claim the accolade. The winner will be crowned on Thursday, December 18 live on BBC with Clare Balding, Gabby Logan and Alex Scott presenting the show.
