Meghan Markle has been slammed for her approach to contacting her ailing father, Thomas Markle , after he had his leg amputated in the hospital. Speaking exclusively on the Daily Expresso news show, Talk TV host Mark Dolan, took aim at the Duchess after a statement released by a Sussex spokesman criticised a Daily Mail journalist, who Thomas has been a father figure to for seven years, for being at his bedside.

Mr Dolan said, "This is an 81-year-old man. He’s lonely; he’s in a foreign country thousands of miles away. He’s got his son, Thomas Markle Jr, but he’s got major issues, too. He’s got health problems, he’s broke, and he’s not been able to be at the hospital 24/7, so Caroline has filled the gap.
