After resolving its carriage dispute with Disney and restoring all affected channels last month, YouTube TV has announced a major overhaul coming in 2026. The streaming service plans to introduce new genre-specific “YouTube TV Plans” early next year, giving viewers more choice and flexibility to tailor their subscriptions and potentially lower their costs.
In a recent post , YouTube TV revealed that it will introduce more than 10 genre-specific packages covering sports, news, family, and entertainment content early next year. While subscribers will have the choice to continue with the platform’s main one-size-fits-all plan that offers access to over 100 channels, this shift will allow them to cherry-pick channel bundles based on what they want to watch.
