Days after hundreds of IndiGo flights were cancelled across the country, crippling air travel in many major cities and troubling passengers, Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu blamed the airlines for the chaos. Speaking on Agenda AajTak, Naidu said that it was "gross mismanagement" by IndiGo that was the root cause of the disruptions.

Though IndiGo services stabilised by Wednesday with no further unusually high number of flight cancellations, concerns remained around airline operations, with passengers wary of air travel. But the minister said that the crisis could have been avoided and came as a surprise.
