RACHEL — Sometimes, despite your best laid plans, things don’t always go as you might have hoped. Such is the case entering the 2025-26 girls basketball season for North Marion head coach Chris Freeman.

Freeman is in his second season after taking over for legendary former head coach Mike Parrish. The first year was a challenge, a sort of a rebuild of a program that has been a powerhouse for years as Freeman worked his way back into coaching high school basketball for the first time since the 2019-20 season, when he last helmed the Huskies’ boys program.
