TEMPE, Ariz. — A teen girl is dead and another sustained minor injuries after a motorcycle-involved crash in the East Valley around midnight on Thursday, according to DPS.

At 12:37 a.m., a fatal crash involving a motorcycle occurred at the westbound on-ramp at Priest Drive and the Loop 202 Red Mountain in Tempe.

DPS said two people were on the motorcycle as it lost control at the on-ramp to Loop 202 and went down.

A vehicle struck and killed the motorcycle driver, a 17-year-old girl, DPS said. The motorcycle passenger had minor injuries.

Everyone involved in the crash stayed at the scene, officials said.

DPS said the roadway reopened just before 5 a.m.
