(Washington, DC) — Senator Mike Rounds wants to know what’s causing South Dakota’s mail delivery problems. Rounds’ office said in a news release yesterday the senator is asking the U.S. Postal Service’s inspector general to find the root cause of the issues. He also wants a regional processing facility in South Dakota to be considered. South Dakota Searchlight reports it’s taken over a week for some mailed publications to travel less than 100 miles.
