It takes time to build a relationship. It also takes patience, understanding, and humility. Alabama football fans, and I say this with love, do not possess these qualities in great amounts. It’s part of who they are and yes, it’s even part of why the program has had the success it has had over the last 100 years.

Kalen DeBoer is at the most precarious point in any new relationship. The glow of starting something new has faded. You’ve started to learn one another’s tendencies, both good and bad.

You’re starting to ask uncomfortable questions for the first time like “is this really going to last?” or “can I fix him?” Survive this difficult transition point, and you could be looking at a long term relationship. Right now, that’s easier said than done for Kalen DeBoer and Alabama.
