Bristol Bears director of rugby Pat Lam has confirmed that much the same squad that battled to a 17-16 victory away at Scarlets on Saturday will be rolled out for Sunday’s crucial Champions Cup pool stage game at home to Pau.

If history tells us anything, a win at Ashton Gate this weekend would almost guarantee the Bears' place in the last 16 knockout round of the competition. And with trips to the Bulls in South Africa and then the visit of Champions Cup holders Bordeaux Begles to come, getting points against Pau is vital. Albeit, Bears director of rugby Pat Lam knows his side are in for a stern test against the side sitting second in the French Top 14.
