Idris Elba is ready to yell "Action!" on the next scene of his life.
After all, the Wire actor revealed that he's planning to move away from his spot in front of the camera to a more permanent role behind-the-scenes.
"I'm hoping that my fanbase as an actor isn't mad at me, but eventually, I want to transfer to be a director fully," Idris shared at a Q+A at the Red Sea International Film Festival Dec. 10, per The Daily Mail . "I've been acting for a long time. I love it still, but I think directing allows me to flex slightly different muscles and just be a part of the set in a different way."
