Duke Energy Foundation recently awarded microgrants to three Upstate nonprofit organizations helping low-income households participate in energy efficiency initiatives.

Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County received a $20,000 microgrant from the Duke Energy Foundation. John Lattimore, the nonprofit’s chief program officer, said Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County is excited and honored to continue its partnership with Duke Energy.

“This specific funding will help provide warm, safe and dry conditions through critical home repairs for several deserving families,” Lattimore said. “The need is great in our community and partners like Duke Energy allow us to meet more of that need.”
