MADISON (WKOW)— Joel Brennan, a former official in Gov. Tony Evers administration, announced his run for governor on Thursday.
Brennan led the Department of Administration under Evers in 2018, where he helped generate close to a $4 billion dollar budget surplus. Brennan has also served as executive director of Discovery World and as p resident of the Greater Milwaukee Committee.
In his announcement video , he said, " I’ll be a governor who will stand up to Trump’s dysfunction and be laser focused on improving the lives of people across our state. With fair maps and a Democratic governor, we can stay true to our values and deliver real and lasting change.”
