Her death reminds us of a painful truth when animals suffer, they suffer quietly, and often alone.

Swarnimoyee, a 50-year-old female safari elephant privately owned by Upendra Saharia, collapsed on National Highway 715 near Bagori at around 8 am today while returning from her morning safari duty at Kaziranga National Park.
