A woman who won an incredible £525k on a scratch card has left people stunned by what she plans to do with the cash. A woman from the commune of Lanmeur in the Finistère department of Brittany in France , who opted not to reveal her name, struck gold when she scooped an astounding €600,000 (£525k).

It all started when the lucky winner bought a scratch card for the Française des Jeux (FDJ) Mega Crosswords from an establishment described as a "bar-tobacconist's" in Lanmeur known as Bar des Sports. In its description of the game, French newspaper Ouest-France, noting that the win was unveiled via a press release on December 4, said players scratch off letters and try to find words on a grid.
