South Carolina has made it official.
The SEC program announced on social media Thursday that Penn State running backs coach Stan Drayton will be a member of South Carolina’s 2026 staff in a similar role. Drayton will also have the title of assistant head coach.

Pete Nakos of On3 had reported earlier in the week that South Carolina was “targeting” Drayton for a 2026 job.
Drayton was hired by the Nittany Lions ahead of the 2025 season, primarily to work with veteran running backs Kaytron Allen and Nick Singleton.
